Danner Peter

Danner Peter, MPH, is a proud member of the Diné (Navajo) Nation. Danner is Bit'ahnii (Folded Arms Clan), born for Naakai Dine'é (The Wandering People Clan). His maternal grandfathers are Dził tł'ahni Tábąąhá (Waters Edge Clan near White Mountain) and his paternal grandfathers are Táchii'nii (The Red Running into the Water Clan). He is originally from Dághááłgaii (Kirtland, NM).

Danner has an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico with a minor in Navajo Linguistics In addition, he’s completed a Masters of Public Health from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, with a specialization in Native Hawaiian and Indigenous Health focused in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Danner is the Capacity Building Specialist for the STI/HIV/AIDS Prevention Program with the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Board, Inc.
