Liza Bley is an Education Program Manager with Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, in Albuquerque, NM. she works with local organizations, businesses, and schools in order to deliver developmentally appropriate sex education to audiences of all ages in and around the Albuquerque area. Liza is also the founder and co-editor of Not You Mother’s Meatloaf: A Sex Ed Comic Book (NYMM) with Saiya Miller. NYMM began as a contribution based zine project in NYC that reached six issues and featured comics from artists all over the world. Liza and Saiya went on tour with NYMM in 2013 when Soft Skull Press published it as a book that included past comics and new material. While not working in the field of sex education, Liza organizes Albuquerque Zine Fest and plays music with multiple bands. Liza spends an extensive amount of time cuddling her pit bull, Pegasus. She earned her BA from Eugene Lang College the New School for Liberal Arts in NYC and her MPH from the University of New Mexico. Liza is committed to working with youth to improve the health of their communities.
