Oscar Marquez has worked in the HIV Prevention Field since 2002 and joined AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) in 2006. Before coming to APLA, he worked for four years at another community based organization where he successfully implemented Prevention Case Management (CRCS), HIV testing and counseling, Group Level Interventions, Individual Level Interventions, and Recruitment, among other services. At APLA, he worked as the Program Coordinator for the L.A. County funded capacity building program and also worked as a Capacity Building Coordinator for the preceding CDC capacity building assistance (CBA) programs, Shared Action and Shared ActionHD.
Mr. Marquez currently works as the CBA Resource Development Manager for Shared Action HD under the supervision of the Associate Director of CBA programs. He oversees the development, implementation and quality assurance of new technologies (e.g., website, online trainings, educational materials) .
